Include you in your own compassion
Radically compassionate women’s grief care south of Richmond, Virginia.
Expert individual therapy and specialized grief support for grieving women seeking to honor the love in their loss and include themselves in their own compassion.
Loss is hard for many, many reasons... emotional, relational, physical, social.
This makes sense. In a social context which glorifies appearance, performance, and perfection, many grievers struggle after a life-altering loss when our grief feelings seem too messy, too intense, and too uncomfortable for others.
Voyager Counseling was built for deeply caring, hard working, nurturing women who feel lost in grief & loss.

At Voyager Counseling, we understand the struggle of trying to manage life while stuck neck-deep in grief, watching everyone else seem to just go on. We know the pain of opening social media and feeling frustrated, alone, jealous, and sad—then criticizing ourselves for feeling this way. We know what it’s like to get things done with to-do lists to make life feel orderly, then sob in quiet moments in the car.
Really, you are not alone.
We offer radically compassionate grief care to women who hold it together on the outside while feeling torn apart on the inside. We help women bring the knowledge from head to heart that grief is the flip side of love, that you do not have to grieve alone, and that—with heartfelt connection & skillful support—you can feel your grief feelings and connect with what matters most to you each day of this imperfect, complex, human life.
Voyager Counseling is a love letter to the humanity, yearning, & desperate love within grief pain. We hope you will find a home for your heart here as you find your footing, connect into caring woman-to-woman community, and learn to include yourself in your own compassion.

Include you in your own compassion
Hi, I’m Olga. I’m a radically compassionate women’s grief therapist & owner of Voyager Counseling.
I believe that a life’s voyage which includes connection and love also includes grief and loss; to love deeply, humans must open to grieving deeply too. Women create life and cradle children, families, and society. Many women have also learned a subtle message of omnipotence: “you can do anything, be anything! Just put your mind to it.” Then, when mortality or cancer or infertility are suddenly, devastatingly derailing the to-do list: everything changes.
I help grieving women include themselves in their own care in a life changed by loss. These women then care for their families, communities, and world at large—this time without losing themselves, with grounded and powerful self-compassion, with a skill and wisdom that has been a part of femininity through the ages.
I specialize in strongly evidenced Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. I provide ACT therapeutically to individuals & in experiential training to professional groups. I help grievers walk through grief pain with intentionality to gain inner and outer skills to live with purpose and heart in a mortal life.
While your grief is yours alone, you do not have to be alone in your grief. I built this community for you, and for me—built for grieving women, by grieving women. Please join! I am wishing you soft moments on hard days and moments of grace. I am sending you so much care.
