Individual Therapy
Orient to inner true north,
voyage heart-forward
Individual grief therapy focuses time and space for you, your life, and your grief. At Voyager Counseling, Olga Montgomery, LCSW offers evidenced, expert individual therapy which helps women cope with the acute stressors of loss and build the whole-person mental and behavioral health skills of resiliency in and through grief. In individual therapy, clients explore and cultivate the inner processes not only to grieve well, but to make courageous, intentional, love-forward choices each day of this mortal, imperfect, human life.
Grief can break us to our point of unbreakability. Life-altering loss is intense, and… well… life-altering. Individual therapy is one-on-one support to survive the crash, find the light through the cracks, and build something with purpose from the pieces.
It makes sense to not feel good in grief.
Instead, it is possible to feel well.
You can build your skill and capacity to feel feelings well, to take good care of you in and through grief. Individual therapy supports you as you move towards your inner true north while honoring the love in your loss.

We are in network with most workplace insurers & take direct pay.
Without insurance: the fee per session for individual therapy is $160, payable through a secure online platform via debit, credit, or HSA.
Paying for therapy directly empowers you to focus on your whole self and wellbeing in therapy above and beyond the “medical necessity and functional impairment” ceiling demanded by insurance companies for reimbursement. That said: if you are a new griever, that might feel unfathomably far away, and you might not have the ability to pay for weekly therapy out of pocket for a number of reasons. We get it and we take insurance.
With insurance: we contract with a company called Headway to confirm and process insurance benefits. You will receive a benefits check and confirmation prior to any billable visit which will summarize your cost per session, including anything to be paid towards your deductible, your coinsurance or copay, et cetera. You can double-check your benefits here.
