More about the Pregnant & Postpartum Moms Navigating Grief Group…
When: Tuesdays 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Where: Voyager Counseling office in North Chesterfield, VA (9327 Midlothian Turnpike, #2G, North Chesterfield VA 23235)
Cost: Free
Can I Bring Baby? Yes! You can if you’d like, you can if you must, or you can arrive solo. Your choice.
A note on bringing baby: Please use common sense—there will be a room of moms and babies, a Pack-n-Play, so if your baby can bop around and make baby noise, we will all keep an eye out and you and baby are so welcome. You’re not in this alone! I (Olga) would love to hold and rock your baby, if you want a little break! But if your baby is sick or desperately screaming, please either leave baby with a caregiver or email me so we can make a collaborative plan together. I really want this group to be accessible for you. <3
A Supportive, Understanding Space for Women Navigating Loss
Your grief is yours alone — but you don’t have to carry it alone while navigating the first year. This in-person peer support group is an intentionally carved out space for women who want to honor the love in their loss, feel their feelings, & lean into an authentic nurturing relationship with themselves and their babies. You may arrive on your own or with your baby, whichever is possible and/or the supportive choice for you. You might think of this as a mama-focused playgroup where you can be ALL of you, not just the polite responses. :)
Whether your loss is recent or years past, whether it’s the death of a beloved person or pet, the onset or progression of a life-altering illness, a perinatal loss, or another mortality-related loss that changed your life and is bubbling up postpartum—you are welcome here. You are welcome here to receive support for your grief pain, engage in community through the many messy middles of life, and to honor your inner growth and connection in community with others who need that light. You cannot be too much or too little here—you are just where you are, and you and your baby are welcome here.
