Memorial Tree Open House
Join us for Voyager Counseling’s first open house, free memorial trees, & compassionate community board.
Memorial trees. My property grows trees like weeds. These trees are, in some way, like the losses I’ve experienced. Not chosen, complex, and something that I have to decide what to do with. I will be gently uprooting, talking to, putting some love and prayer in these trees and providing them at no cost as memorial trees. Memorial trees are first come, first serve, and no obligation to stick around—but please do put care into yourself as you pick up, into the others grieving, and into the tree you plant. There are redbud, tulip poplar, red oak, white oak, and other giant varieties. Please plant in memory of your loved one, your love, your connection, or gift to a griever you care about.
Community board. A dry-erase community board will be available to share words of encouragement, care, understanding, prayers of all kinds, and heartfelt support with grievers in and around Richmond. Please put a message of love for the griever out there and for your own grieving heart.
When? Sunday, September 28th, 10:00am – 12:00pm
Where? Voyager Counseling, 9327 Midlothian Turnpike #2G, North Chesterfield VA 23235
Gentle Reminder: memorial trees are not reserved and are first come, first served. You can RSVP your attendance to receive a reminder email.
Come as you are. Leave with literal roots of remembrance and metaphorical connection to this radically compassionate, woman-centered, grief-honoring, living-love-forward community. <3
