Grief Support, Wherever You Are (Or Can Manage to Be)

This virtual peer support group offers care and connection to women grieving any life-altering loss while also mothering and working. Our 8:00am EST start time is an attempt to balance dropoffs, school schedules, work schedules, and (maybe possibly) preserves your opportunity to eat lunch and spend the evening with family. Join from your favorite armchair, your couch, your car, your office chair, your phone in the stairwell… you are welcome here, just as you are. This is a space for women navigating life-altering loss to see and be seen, hear and be heard, understand and be understood, in wholeness and brokenness and in between.

What to Expect

  • Join online in a secure Zoom room

  • Clear, sturdy, supportive facilitation for a safe and calm environment

  • Options to share or simply listen

  • Please expect to have your camera on—please allow yourself grace if you need your camera off

Virtual Support Group Format

  • 8:00am - 8:10am - Listen to a reading/section from a book or memoir related to grief and loss

  • 8:10am - 8:45am(ish) - Opportunity to share, “speaking in the I”

  • 8:45am - 8:55am: Guided mindfulness practice focused on self-soothing and self-compassion

  • 8:55am - Wrap up, resources, contact information exchange for ongoing support
