Clinical Supervision

Authentic self-practice,
purposeful career growth

Clinical supervision is provided to social workers who have achieved their Masters of Social Work (or MSW-equivalent) and are seeking to meaningfully deepen their clinical skillset in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and applied Relational Frame Theory. Olga Montgomery, LCSW, is a Virginia Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and an expert in the intersection of ACT and grief care. In individual or group supervision, you can expect to deepen your clinical skillset and your authentic self-practice to build towards a purposeful career with sustainability, clarity, and meaning.

The thing about mortality is: we are equally as mortal as our clients.

In supervision with me, you will directly discuss and build clinical skills to work with mortals. That includes all of the inner capacities of humans aware of their own mortality: thoughts, feelings, anxiety, depression, attachment, joy, fear, post-traumatic stress, pain, post-traumatic resiliency, purpose, and more.

Not only that: you will be encouraged to take a look at and reflect on your own mortality, and where and how you sit on the “other side of the couch” in the therapeutic relationship. You can build your own understanding of how you practice, with whom, based on which values, cultivated from a soil of common humanity.

Transparent process and meaningful growth

How to Begin Clinical Supervision

Step One: Request an Introductory Call

Click here to schedule a free, no-pressure 20-minute introductory call. This call is useful to establish whether we work together in individual or group supervision. If I am your primary individual supervisor, this call is necessary prior to submitting your Application for Initial Registration of Supervision.

Step Two: Legal and Administrative Onboarding

Submit your Application for Initial Registration of Supervision and/or prepare your materials to add me as a clinical supervisor. Receive, review, and sign my supervisory contract. Ensure you describe yourself as a Supervisee of Social Work and that I am accessible to anyone requesting to give feedback to your clinical work. We will be sure all documentation and required legal details are in place prior to billable supervisory hours.

Step Three: Begin Supervision

For individual and group supervision, I offer in-person and online options. We will find a time that works for us, no less than 1 hour of supervision per 40 hours of your work, and each session will include a combination of case review, authentic self-practice, and both didactic and experiential learning about ACT/RFT/FC.
